The smoked mineral crystal dial and caseback allow for a peek into the exclusive JCAA05 chronograph caliber and its beautifully finished details. The honeycomb openworked rubber straps allow for ventilation and flow seamlessly into the lugs and case-band, all to create a sublimely comfortable fit around the wrist.

The Epic X Chrono is an extraordinarily capable and highly exclusive timepiece in every variation, from the precious 18K Gold-Ceramic references to the sporty, lightweight and colorful Grade 5 Titanium models.

Peeking through a colorful mineral dial and caseback is the exclusive semi-skeleton Jacob & Co JCAA05 bi-compax chronograph caliber. The 260-component movement offers a combination of highly refined decorations on the bridges, self-winding rotor, mainspring barrel, and column wheel.

The column-wheel controls the functioning of the chronograph mechanism inside the Epic X Chrono. Start, stop and reset are all governed by this beautifully component that is angled, polished and drawn by hand. Sitting over the exclusive caliber is the anthracite oscillating rotor for the automatic winding of the movement, with red lacquered Jacob & Co Genève engraving. Further decorations include beveled and polished edges on the bridges, perlage circular graining, as well as the open-worked construction of the mainspring barrel, all beautifully executed.

Bold design meets precious and high-end materials to create the immediately recognizable aesthetic of the Epic X – a watch exterior that is like no other. Comprising 61 components, the Epic X Chrono Black Titanium Ceramic Black Bezel case measures 43mm wide and 14mm thick, and is water resistant to a depth of 200 meters – a testament to the complexity of the design, as well as its highly engineered and equally robust architecture.

The case of the Epic X Chrono Black Titanium Ceramic Black Bezel is crafted from grade 5 titanium. The bezel is made of black ceramic as are the exteriors of the pushers and crowns. The profile of the angular titanium lugs are set with high-precision black rubber inserts, continuing the all-black theme. The dial and the caseback are covered by smoked sapphire glass; and the dial is completed with a black anodized aluminum chapter ring with a satin finish.

The Epic X Chrono has a bi-compax layout, with the right subdial for the chronograph minutes and the left subdial for the running seconds. The dial itself is Smoked Sapphire Glass, allowing a glimpse into the column-wheel chronograph movement inside.

The hour and minute hands are skeletonized and tipped with Super-LumiNova. The central seconds hand is red, as is the minute counter hand.
